Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we are required to keep some of it, and what you can ask us to delete.
Short answer We collect what is needed to take, verify and deliver your order. We do not sell personal information. Firearms transaction records are kept because federal law requires it, and cannot be deleted on request.
Who we are
HILLTOP ARMORY LLC, trading as Hilltop Armory, of 955 Coopers Road, Pineville, MO 64856, is the controller of the personal information described here. Contact us about privacy at support@hilltoparmoryllc.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Name, billing and delivery address, email address and telephone number.
- Account credentials, where you create an account.
- Order history and correspondence.
- Age and eligibility confirmations made at checkout.
- Where a firearm is involved, the identity of the receiving licensed dealer.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser and device type, and pages viewed.
- Cookies used to keep your basket and session working.
What we do not hold
We do not store full payment card numbers. Card details are handled by the payment processor; we retain a token and the last four digits for reconciliation.
Why we use it
- To take, fulfil and deliver your order, and handle returns.
- To verify age and eligibility and apply state shipping restrictions.
- To prevent fraud and protect the security of the site.
- To meet our record-keeping obligations as a Federal Firearms Licensee.
- To answer your questions.
- To send marketing, only where you asked for it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share customer lists with data brokers or advertisers.
Who we share it with
- Carriers, to deliver your order.
- Payment processors, to take payment and prevent fraud.
- The receiving licensed dealer, where you buy a firearm.
- Service providers who host and maintain this site, under contract and only as needed.
- Law enforcement and regulators, where the law requires it, including the ATF during a licensed inspection or a lawful trace request.
How long we keep it
Order and customer records are kept as long as needed for the purposes above and for as long as tax and commercial law requires.
Firearms records are different and cannot be deleted on request. As a licensee we must keep a permanent acquisition and disposition record of every firearm through the business, and retain completed Form 4473 records for the period federal law prescribes. A request to erase your data does not reach those records, because keeping them is a legal obligation rather than a choice.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may be entitled to:
- ask what personal information we hold and get a copy;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- ask us to delete information, subject to the obligations above;
- opt out of marketing at any time; and
- be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
Email support@hilltoparmoryllc.com from the address on your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and will respond within the period the applicable law allows.
Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the shop — keeping you signed in, remembering your basket, securing the checkout — and analytics cookies that tell us which pages are used. You can block cookies in your browser, but the basket and checkout will not work without the necessary ones.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Given what we sell, nobody under 18 should be ordering here. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
