Accessibility Statement
What we are aiming for, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when something blocks you.
Short answer We are working towards WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Some parts of the catalogue and checkout fall short of it today, and this page says which.
Our commitment
We want anyone to be able to browse the catalogue, read our compliance pages and complete an order, whatever technology they use. We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our reference standard.
What we have done
- Pages use real headings in a logical order, so screen reader users can navigate by structure.
- Text meets AA contrast against its background on our policy and compliance pages.
- The site reflows to a single column on small screens without horizontal scrolling.
- Frequently asked questions use native disclosure controls that work with the keyboard and are announced correctly, rather than custom scripted accordions.
- Links describe where they go instead of saying “click here”.
- Tables carry proper header cells so their data is read in context.
Where we fall short
We would rather say this plainly than claim full conformance:
- Some product images carry alternative text generated from the product title rather than written by hand, so it describes the item but not the picture.
- Parts of the catalogue and checkout come from third-party components whose markup we do not fully control.
- Older product pages have not all been reviewed for heading order.
These are being worked through, and this page is updated as they are fixed.
Tell us if something blocks you
If any part of this site stops you doing what you came to do, email support@hilltoparmoryllc.com. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and what technology you were using.
If you cannot complete an order because of an accessibility barrier, say so and we will take the order another way rather than leave you stuck.
