Las Vegas, NV
Nevada adds no state rule to mail-order ammunition. Firearm checks run through Nevada DPS, not the FBI.
Short answer Ammunition ships direct to a Las Vegas address: Nevada imposes no permit, background check, dealer routing, quantity cap or state age minimum. A firearm ships to a Nevada FFL, which queries Nevada DPS rather than the FBI for the background check.
Ammunition to Las Vegas
Nevada adds no state rule to a mail-order ammunition purchase: no permit, no background check, no requirement to route it through a dealer, no quantity cap and no state minimum age. The federal limits are the only ones that apply — 21 for handgun ammunition, 18 for rifle and shotgun.
Firearms to Las Vegas
A firearm ships to a Nevada FFL, where you complete ATF Form 4473. Nevada is a point-of-contact state, which means the dealer queries the Nevada Department of Public Safety rather than the FBI — for handguns, long guns and “other” alike. Nevada DPS currently charges $25 per check, and that fee is non-refundable whatever the outcome.
If a check comes back “Unresolved”, whether to release the firearm after three business days is the receiving dealer’s decision, not ours and not the state’s. Nevada has no waiting period, no purchase permit and no registry.
What we will not send to Las Vegas
Neither the Las Vegas municipal code nor the Clark County code regulates buying or shipping firearms or ammunition, so no local rule changes an order to a Las Vegas address.

About this page
The Nevada position above was built from the state’s own published code and checked claim by claim against those primary sources on 23 September 2026. It describes how this business ships and is not legal advice. Firearms and ammunition law changes and parts of it are in active litigation, so confirming the law where you live is yours to do before you order; applying the rules we can see is ours. Where we cannot lawfully fill an order we cancel and refund it rather than ship it. A firearm is shipped licensee to licensee and never to a private address, and the receiving dealer’s transfer fee is theirs rather than ours. If a statement here is out of date, tell us and it will be corrected or removed.
